Pillars of Hizbiyyah!

As it was mentioned by as-Shaykh Muqbil bin Hadee al-Waadiyee (may Allaah have mercy on him) in his treatise "Ahkaamu-Tasweer" (Rulings of pictures) (page 5):
The pillars of Hizbiyyah (partisanship) are three:
1) Lying
2) Deciet
3) Deception.

Asking the people money for the purpose of Da'wah - Shaikh Rabee

It was asked to Allamah, Shaikh Rabee ibn Haadee Al Madhkhali : Our Shaikh Muqbil founded the da'wah salafiyyah here in Yemen based upon self sufficiency and he authored a book titled "The blameworthiness of asking". Our question is: Some of the callers sometimes ask the people money for the purpose of Da'wah. So what is the criteria in asking from people for the purpose of da'wah?

The Shaikh answered:

In any case, May Allah have Mercy upon Shaikh Muqbil and I ask Allah to succeed him with good in Yemen and other than Yemen. For verily this person, may Allah have Mercy on him, reminds us of the asceticism of the salaf, their abstinence, their honour and rank, their refusal (to accept monies from the people) and their courage in speaking a statement of truth. And the Da'wah salafiyyah was elevated and spread in Yemen and (people) were cured by it and (he) left for them great goodness. We ask Allah to bless his students and to bring forth from them many like him (Shaikh Muqbil); for verily, by Allah, he was an model in piety and abstinence and refusal of worldly matters. And he was given insight (by Allah) when he used to refuse money and warned against asking people. And I am reminded that he used to launch a fierce attack on anyone who collected money in his (Shaikh Muqbil's) name. So he used to not compromise in this matter, May Allah bless him. And is NOT a necessity to approach people asking them in the name of da'wah; the salaf never did that. And Ahmad ibn Hanbal rahimahullah, did he stretch out his hand asking the people for the purpose of da'wah? He used to refuse money - and he is cited as a model of abstinence in his refusal and dignity when he traveled to Abdur Razzaaq from Iraq to San'aa. On the way, he and his companion, Yahya ibn Ma'een, performed Hajj and found Abdur Razzaaq in Makkah. So ibn Ma'een said to Ahmad: "Here is Abdur Razzaaq. Allah has brought him to us so we do not need to travel." Ahmad replied: "I have made the intention to travel to San'aa so I will not return." Then he traveled to Sanaa and on the way he ran out of money. When his companions found out, they offered him monetary assistance. But Imam Ahmad refused and instead opted to work as a porter for the bedouin camel owners, carrying loads on his back - and he was an Imam rahimahullah. He saw that porterage, work and eating from the sweat of ones own hands was better by thousands of times than taking money from the people; because the upper hand is the one that gives and the lower hand is the one that receives. And Ahmad did not want his hand to be the lower one, may Allah be pleased with him. So I advise the scholars and the students of knowledge to return towards the biographies of the nobility of the salaf, and let them be aware that eagerness to seek money is from the most dangerous of dangers upon the Da'wah Salafiyyah. And the proof of that is that the current fitnah was sparked because of money when, may Allah bless you, some people started stretching their hands out to this Jam'iyyah and that Jam'iyyah (charity organization). So we seek refuge with Allah from the fitnah of money. Verily it is fitnah, by Allah. And by Allah, it is but a very small number of students who come out of the masjid and are self sufficient, noble and honoured. And (these) are better than millions and millions of those 'students of money' and those destroyed by the dunya (worldly matters). So we advise the salafi youth and the scholars from amongst them to return towards the biographies of the salaf. As they (the salaf) raised the banner of the sunnah, so to they also raised the banner of honour, nobility, asceticism, abstinence and the dislike of chasing after the dunya. By Allah, nothing has harmed the Da'wah Salafiyyah in Yemen more than the exposure of money and the panting after it and it has given rise to this fitnah now.

And money is a strong arrow in igniting the fire of trials. Unless there is repentance to Allah and returning to Allah and brotherhood for the sake of Allah. We advise them with calling one another to the truth and calling one another to patience in every difficulty of life. {And certainly, We shall test you with something of fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives and fruits, but give glad tidings to the patient ones} (Al Baqarah:155). And by Allah, verily the salaf did not bring this da'wah to us by way of tender, soft money and vessels. But they brought it to us by their asceticism, abstinence and turning away (from wealth), may Allah be pleased with them. So we advise the salafees in every place and in Yemen especially - that Yemen which Allah has raised in it the banner of the Sunnah: That they guard this da'wah; and if money was to come to them, then it will spoil that which is between them so it is upon them to kick it away with their legs. And they should traverse upon their path honoured and enobled spreading the noble, clean da'wah of Allah.

Elections

Democracy came upon the Muslims with many tribulations and from these tribulations is the tribulation of elections. And it is not permissible for a man nor for a woman. It is not permissible for a Jinn nor for an Inss (human). And in it are harms and corruptions which none knowns except Allaah. The Ahlus-Sunnah warn against this Fitan acting upon the statement of Allaah ta'aala:

(..so that those who were to be destroyed (for their rejecting the Faith) might be destroyed after a clear evidence, and those who were to live (i.e. believers) might live after a clear evidence. And surely, Allâh is All-Hearer, All-Knower.) (Al-Anfal 8:42)

And also acting upon Allaah's statement:

And ask them (O Muhammad sallalaahu 'alaihi wasallam) about the town that was by the sea, when they transgressed in the matter of the Sabbath (i.e. Saturday): when their fish came to them openly on the Sabbath day, and did not come to them on the day they had no Sabbath. Thus We made a trial of them for they used to rebel. And when a community among them said: "Why do you preach to a people whom Allâh is about to destroy or to punish with a severe torment?" (The preachers) said: "In order to be free from guilt before your Lord (Allâh), and perhaps they may fear Allâh." So when they forgot the remindings that had been given to them, We rescued those who forbade evil.... (Al-A'raf 7:165)

And some of the needy men and women get deluded by the money and so they make them confused in their belief regarding the election. And this is a lie, as the prophet sallalaahu 'alaihi wa aalihi wasallam said:
If you truly trust in Allah as you should trust in Him, He will provide you with sustenance, just as He does to the birds: they go out in the morning with empty stomachs and come back in the evening with full stomachs.

And He honours you with many good, as Allaah said:

And whosoever fears Allâh and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty). And He will provide him from (sources) he never could imagine. And whosoever puts his trust in Allâh, then He will suffice him. (At-Talaq 65:2-3)

And Allaah said:
And if the people of the towns had believed and had the Taqwâ (piety), certainly, We should have opened for them blessings from the heaven and the earth (Al-A'raf 7:96)

And Allaah also said:

And if only the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) had believed (in Muhammad sallalaahu 'alaihi wasallam) and warded off evil (sin, ascribing partners to Allâh) and had become AlMuttaqûn We would indeed have blotted out their sins and admitted them to Gardens of pleasure (in Paradise). And if only they had acted according to the Taurât (Torah), the Injeel (Gospel), and what has (now) been sent down to them from their Lord (the Qur'ân), they would surely have gotten provision from above them and from underneath their feet. (Al-Ma'idah 5:65-66)

And Allaah also said:
if they had done what they were told, it would have been better for them, and would have strengthened their (Faith); (An-Nisa 4:66)

O Muslims! A very beneficial advice, take it and accept it before you feel sorry, not to accept it, in this world and in the hereafter.
Allaah ta'alaa said:
Say: "Short is the enjoyment of this world.."(An-Nisa 4:77)

Elections are haraam, as it is the taqleed of the kuffaar, from the branches of Democracy, and Democracy is haraam, as it is the rule of the people themselves with no Book and no Sunnah. And Democracy is kufr. Hizbiyyah is haraam except for the Hizb of Allaah subuhaanahu wata'aala.

Islamic Anasheed (Madaha)" الأناشيد الإسلامية "

Al-Allaama Muhammad ibn Salih al-Uthaymeen -rahimahullaah

Q) Is it permissible for men to sing Anasheed in groups? And is it permissible to sing Anasheed with the beating of Duff? Are Anasheed permissible on other than the 'Eids and wedding ceremonies?

A) 'Islamic'
Anasheed are Anasheed mubtad'i (innovated). It is imitation of what the Soofiyyah innovated, for this reason it is for us to return back to the teachings of Kitaab and Sunnah. O Allaah, were it that this had occured during harb (war) then it would motivate courage and Jihaad Fee Sabeelillaah, then this is hasan (good). And if the duff is used, then this is going even further away from what is correct.

What are the categories of Tawheed?

Al-'Allaama Al-Albaani

Memorise this and understand this: Tawheed (Oneness of Allaah) has three categories:

1) Tawheed ar-Ruboobiyyah (Oneness of Allaah in His Lordship): This is necessary, but the Mushrikeen (of the Quraish) had emaan (faith) in it (alone, without having emaan in the other two categories) , and it did not benefit them whatsoever. So Tawheed is not appropriate except with the second (category) and the third (category).

2)Tawheed al-'Ibaadah (Oneness of Allaah in our worship): Not to worship anything besides Allaah, even if it is to swear by other than Allaah, and swearing by other than Allaah is common these days.

3) Tawheed of Allaah in His Asmaa wa Sifaat (Oneness of Allaah in His Names and Attributes): We dont attribute any creation with the Attributes of Allaah, and from it is: Do not think that the chosen ones (the Prophets and Messengers) have the knowledge of Ghaib (Unseen), no one knows Ghaib except Allaah alone.

The ruling on reciting Faatiha upon the souls of the dead.

as-Shaykh al-Allaamah al-Muhaddith Yahyaa al-Hajoori (may Allaah preserve him)

Question: What is the hukm of the one who recites Faatiha or other than that from the Qur'aan upon the souls of the dead?

Answer: This is a newly invented matter, which the Prophet sallalaahu 'alaihi wasallam never did nor did the companions ridaawanuAllaah 'alaihim, they did not recite Faatiha upon the dead, nor Ayatul Kursi, nor Mu'awidhatain, nor (Surah Ikhlaas). The Messenger sallalaahu 'alaihi wasallam said (which means): 'He who innovates something into this matter of ours will have it rejected'... And also the Messenger sallalaahu 'alaihi wasallam said (which means): 'Allaah never accepts from an innovator up until he repents from his innovation'. So it is waajib to make ta'uba (repentence) from this action!

Saying 'where is Allaah?" is not from good manners?

Question: A person says, 'the one who asks, "Where is Allaah?" is doing so without any manners?

Answer: This statement is khateer (dangerous), as the Messenger of Allaah (sallalaahu 'alaihi wasallam) was the one who asked the slave girl saying: "Where is Allaah?". This hadeeth is in Muslim, from the hadeeth of Mu'aawiyah ibn al-Hakam as-Salamee (radiAllaahu anhu). And the Messenger of Allaah (sallalaahu 'alaihi wasallam) is the best of examples.

Unity with the Rafida (Shia) is never possible!

His Emminence, The Imaam and father, 'Abdul 'Azeez 'Abdullaah bin Baaz said: Unity between 'ar-Raafida' (The Shia) and Ahlu-Sunnah is never possible; as there is a difference of 'Aqeedah. As for the 'Aqeedah of Ahlu-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah, it is: to Tawheed of Allaah (single out Allaah) and al-Ikhlaas (Sincerity) in the worship of Allaah Subuhaanahu wa-Ta'ala, that is, not to associate anything when calling (upon Allaah), neither an Angel drawn close nor a Prophet sent. And it is Allaah Subuhaanahu wa-Ta'ala who knows the Ghaib (Unseen). And from the 'Aqeedah of Ahlu-Sunnah is to love the Sahaba (Companions of Allaah's Messenger sallalaahu 'alaihi wasallam), may Allaah be pleased with all of them and He is pleased with them, and to have 'eemaan (faith) that they are the most excellent of the creation of Allaah after the Prophets, and the best of them Aboo Bakr as-Siddeeq, then 'Umar, then 'Uthmaan, then 'Alee, may Allaah be pleased with them all. And the Raafida oppose this, so there is no unity between these two ('Aqeedah), just as there is no unity between the Yahood (Jews), the Nasaara (Christians), the Vathaniyyeen (Idol worshippers) and the Ahlu-Sunnah. So for this reason there is no unification between the Raafida and Ahlu-Sunnah due to the opposition of (their) 'Aqeedah as we have made clear.

Ruling of importing, selling, buying and eating chicken and other meat slaughtered in the lands of Kufr.

Shaykh Aboo Abdi Rahmaan Yahyaa bin 'Ali al-Hajoori

Question: What is the ruling of importing chicken meat from the lands of Kufr? The likes of those named 'French Chicken' or other than that which are imported from the lands of Kufr? What is the ruling of eating them? Selling them? and buying them? Is this trade permissible?

Answer: The conditions for the correctness of a slaughtering of animals, chickens, or their likes of what Allah has made permissible to eat from their meat are: that the slaughterer be a Muslim or from the people of the book, and that the name of Allah is mentioned on it before it was slaughtered in order for it to be according to the Islamic way, as Allaah said:

Made lawful to you this day are AtTayyibât [all kinds of Halâl (lawful) foods, which Allâh has made lawful (meat of slaughtered eatable animals, etc., milk products, fats, vegetables and fruits, etc.). The food (slaughtered cattle, eatable animals, etc.) of the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) is lawful to you and yours is lawful to them. [Surah al-Maidah: 5]

And Allaah also said:
Eat not (O believers) of that (meat) on which Allâh's Name has not been pronounced (at the time of the slaughtering of the animal), for sure it is Fisq (a sin and disobedience of Allâh). [Surah al-An'aam: 121]

And the hadeeth of Shadaad bin Aws (radiAllaahu 'anhu) in Saheeh Muslim, that the Prophet (sallalaahu 'alaihi wasallam) said: (Allaah has prescribed al-Ihsaan on everything) and also : (If you slaughter, slaughter with Ihsaan). These slaughtered meat imported from France and from other than them from the lands of Kufr, either chicken and other meat, from what I know is that they don't fulfill the Shuroot as-Sihhah (conditions of the correctness) for the slaughtered animal to be eaten. As it is shown by the adillah (evidences), it is waajib to avoid eating such meat that are imported by the lands of kufr, and avoid selling them and other such trades which are promoted among the muslims as the hadeeth states: (Verily if Allaah forbids somethng, He forbids earning from it.) Allaah has instead given us wealth of animals in this country (yemen) and other countries from the imports from the lands of Muslims. And with this richness it is haraam to eat the slaughtered animals in question, and (it is haraam) to buy them as the Messenger of Allaah said: (Any flesh that grows from ill-gotten gains is more deserving of being touched by Hell-fire).

These slaughtered animals raise doubt and suspicion for its permissibility or forbidennes on the intellect, the Messenger (sallalaahu 'alaihi wasallam) said:
(Leave the doubtful matters to that which you don't have doubt), and the hadeeth is saheeh which is narrated from Hasan bin 'Ali (radiAllaahu anhu), and the Messenger (sallalaahu 'alaihi wasallam) said: (Whoever avoids the doubtful matters, he has absolved himself (from wrongdoing) in his religion and in his honor.) Agreed upon on Nu'maan bin Basheer (radiAllaahu anhu). And all praise is due to Allaah.

It is obligated to abandon Bid'ah

Shaykh 'Abdul 'Azeez ibn Baaz (rahimahullaah) said:

Every Bid'ah and every misguidance and every manhaj that opposes the Shar'ia of Allaah then it is waajib to abandon them. It is waajib to call all the all of the people to be upon the manhaj on which the Messenger (sallalaahu 'alaihi wasallam) was upon during his lifetime, and after that on which his companions and the Rightly Guided Caliphs after him and those who followed them, the Imaams of guidance, and the righteous Salaf were upon. The manhaj al qaweem on which those who followed them were upon, the Siraat al-Mustaqeem.

This is the manhaj that it is waajib to hold on to and cling on to, and traverse upon. And every one of those who opposes this of which the people has innovated then it is waajib to abandon and reject them, clarifying them with a clear clarification up until no ones is destroyed except with evidence.

The Signs of the Ahlul Bid'ah

Shaykh Saleh al-Uthaimeen (rahimahullaah) said:

Ahlul Bid'ah (they) have signs:

1) They attribute themselves to other than Islaam and Sunnah, which they have innovated, from Bid'ah : al-Gawliyyah (statements), al-fi'liyyah (actions), al;'aqdiyyah (beliefs).

2) They have bigotry to their opinions, so they do not return back to the haqq if its clarified to them.

3) They have hatred for the Imaams of al-Islaam and Deen.

Tareeqah (way) of Ahlu Sunnah wal Jama'ah

Shaykhul Islaam Ahmad ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullaah)

As for the tareeqah (way) of Ahlu Sunnah wal Jama'ah: it is to follow the athaar (narrations) of the Allaah's messenger (sallalaahu 'alaihi wasallam) in secret and in open, and to follow the sabeel (path) of the first of those from the Muhaajiroon and Ansaar, and to follow the wasiyyah (testament) of the messenger (sallalaahu 'alaihi wasallam):Upon you is to follow my sunnah and sunnah of the righly guided caliphs after me, cling on to it, and bit on to it with your molar teeth, and beware of newly invented matters, for every newly invented matter is an innovation, and every innovation is a misguidance.

And it is to know that the most truthful speech is the speech of Allaah, and to know that the best of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad (sallalaahu 'alaihi wasallaam), giving preference to the speech of Allaah above the speech of the people, and to precede the guidance of Muhammad (sallalaahu 'alaihi wasallam) above the guidance of all other people, and those who hold on to this are called: Ahlul Kitaab wa Sunnah (The people of the Book and Sunnah).

And they are also called Ahlul Jama'ah; as the Jama'ah is to unify and the opposite is to split in to groups, and the word 'Jama'ah' became a name to those who unify (upon haqq), and ijmaa' (consensus) is from the three fundamentals which the knowledge of the deen is built upon.

And they weigh from these three fundamentals, the statements and the hidden and open actions of the people which are connected to the deen. And the ijmaa' that they cling on to is what the salaf saalih were upon; as for those who came after them have so many ikhtilaaf (differences) which spread upon the ummah.

Explaining the fundamentals of faith

Shaykh Saalih ibn Uthaimeen (rahimahullaah)

Start

All praise is due to Allah,we praise Him, seek His Help and forgiveness; we repent to Him and seek refuge in Allah from the evils of our own slaves and from our wicked deeds . Whomsoever has been guided by Allaah , non can misguided and whomsoever has been misguided by Allaah non can guide him. I bear witness that there is no true god worthy or being worshipped except Allaah alone, without a partner or associate. I further bare witness that Mohammed (Salla Allaah Aleihi Waslam1 ) is Allaah true slave and Messenger ; may Allaah bestow His peace and Blessings on Muhammed (Salla Allaah Aleihi Wasallam), upon his good and pure family , and upon his noble companions and those who follow their path.

It proceeds then: that the knowledge about Tawheed2 constitutes the most noble and necessitated knowledge, because it represents the knowledge about Allah , His right upon His bondsmen . This knowledge is the key for the way to Allaah , and it is the foundation for His legislation. That is why there is a consensus amongst all the messengers to invite people to Tawheed .

And we did not send any Messenger before you (O Mohammed) but We inspired him (saying(: Lailaha illa Ana {none has the right to be worshipped but I (Allah)},so worship Me (alone and no Qur’aan 21:25

Allaah bears witness on His Wahdaniyyah: being the only true God that deserves to be worshipped alone and who has no coequal in Himself as well as in His Names and Attributes .The angles and people of knowledge also testify for His Wahdaniyyah :

Allaah bears witness that La illah illa Huwah ( none has Wright to worshiped but He,) and the angles , and those having knowledge (also give this witness); ( He is always) maintaining His creation in Justice . La illah illa Huwa , the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.(Qura’an 3:18)

Given this acknowledgement of the rank of Taweed, it is therefore incumbent upon every Muslim to give proper consideration to this matter through learning, understanding, education, and conviction, in order for him to establish his Deen 5on a sound foundation, confidence and submission that would give him the good fortune of sharing it’s fruits and results.

1 Salla Allaah Aleihi Wasallam1 : The Salaah and Salaam of Allaah be upon his prophet Mohammed . The Salaah of Allaah upon his prophet Mohammed is His praise of the prophet to the angles who are close to (but below) to Allaah , the most high , who arose abode His ‘Arsh ( Throne) which is above the seven skies. The angles also praise him” Salla Allaah Aleihi Wasallam” The Salaam is Allaah’s safeguard and of the prophet from the deficiencies and kind of evils . When the Muslim says” Salla Allaah Aleihi Wasallam” , they invokes Allaah to grant His praise and security to the prophet Mohammed .See Ibnul Alqyyaim’s Jalaa ‘ul Afhaam, p.128. Published by Daar Ibn Katheer , Damascus, and Maktabat Daat At-Turaath, Al-Madeenah , 1409H/1988.

2 Tawheed 2 is maintaining the belief that Allaah is the only true God worthy of worship and that He is the true and only Rabb of every thing and that He is unique in His Divine Names,Attributes and Actions.(TN)

3 : Ta’aalaa : Supremely Exalted id He. He is Exalted in His Thaat (Essence) and in

His Attributes. (TN)

5 Deen : Is more comprehensive in it’s meaning than the western concept of “religion” . Every aspect of life subscribes to the revelation from Allaah. Therefore, Deen covers life in all of its various stages and complexities. (TN)

Is it sufficient for the salafee to know haqq and batil and not refute ahlul ahwa?

Shaykh Rabee' ibn Hadee al-Madkhali (hafidhahullaah)

In these times, is it sufficient for the Salafee to just know haqq (truth) and baatil (falsehood)or is it waajib upon him to refute the Ahlul Ahwa (people of desires) and those who differ from his da’wah (call)?

It is on the Salafee to know the haqq and call to it and clarify it to the people. And to establish this obligation, it is for him to refute baatil, as the Noble Qur’aan clarifies the haqq and refute the baatil at the same time, such as good is mentioned with the mentioning of evil, the Mu’mineen (believers) are mentioned and the Munaafiqeen (hypocrites) are mentioned, the kuffar (disbelievers) are mentioned, the Yahood (Jews) are mentioned, the Nasaara (Christians) are mentioned with their evil. So Islaam is established on these pillars which explains it and establishes Jihaad and ‘amr bil mau’roof (commanding good) and nahee anil munkar (forbidding evil) and refuting falsehood. It would never be established except without this and Islaam would never be established ever except with the establishment of the haqq and exposing and clarifying and criticizing the baatil, and clarifying their ugliness, their evilness, and tahdheer (warn) about this (falsehood) with its people. Any da’wah which does not establish this obligation then it is nothing but a defeated da’wah; dead, carrying the germs of death itself. No da’wah is living except by raising the banner of the haqq and bringing down baatil at the same time.

And this is it what Allaah ta’aala has said:
{You are the best of peoples ever raised up for mankind; you command Al-Ma'roof (i.e. Islaamic Monotheism and all that Islaam has ordained) and forbid Al-Munkar (polytheism, disbelief and all that Islaam has forbidden)}

Those who don’t refute the baatil, how would they command good?! How would they forbid evil?! How?! It is like the Jamaa’at at-Tableegh who say they command good but (in reality) they don’t, Tawheed is at the highest rank of good but they do not call the people to it, (as for) Salat (prayers) they do not command the people with the Salat of Muhammad (sallalaahu ‘alaihi wasallam). They claim to command good but (in reality) they do not command good and they do not forbid evil. We ask Allaah’s safety.

So what is the faraq (difference) between you and them if you do not fight bid’ah and misguidance and refute Ahlul Ahwa, what is the faraq between you and them? So if you see the people of misguidance then you are silent on them and in return this increases their masses, you are supporting and encouraging them by being silent on them when they make fasaad (corruption) on Earth! When you see thieves stealing from the houses, then you are silent on them! What is this? Is this commanding good and forbidding evil? So the du’aat (callers) of Ahlul Bid’ah (people of innovation) is worse than thieves, worse than the highway robbers. Ibn Abee Zaid and Ibn’Abdul Birr said: They are worse than the criminal highway robbers, it is waajib to warn from them continuously, and criticize and expose them in front of the people to stay out of them, up until the people leave them.

And because of this there exists many books of the Salaf refuting Ahlul Bid’ah and warning against them, warning against their gatherings, but during these times many from the Muslimoon has left of this ‘asl (foundation): refuting Ahlul Bid’ah and warning from them, and this caused the misguidance to prevail on this Ummah of Islaam, except that a few miskeen who have no power or might are saved from this.

(to be continued inshaa’ Allaah)
