Saying 'where is Allaah?" is not from good manners?

السؤال: رجل يقول: من قال: (أين الله؟!) فهو بلا أدب؟

الإجابة:
هذا كلام خطير؛ فرسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم هو الذي سأل الجارية فقال لها: «أين الله»، والحديث في مسلم من حديث معاوية بن الحكم السلمي رضي الله عنه، ولنا في رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم أسوة حسنة.

Question: A person says, 'the one who asks, "Where is Allaah?" is doing so without any manners?

Answer: This statement is khateer (dangerous), as the Messenger of Allaah (sallalaahu 'alaihi wasallam) was the one who asked the slave girl saying: "Where is Allaah?". This hadeeth is in Muslim, from the hadeeth of Mu'aawiyah ibn al-Hakam as-Salamee (radiAllaahu anhu). And the Messenger of Allaah (sallalaahu 'alaihi wasallam) is the best of examples.
